Avoid long queues with Skip-the-line entrance to the Picasso museum and explore at your own pace. The Skip-the-line ticket can be used immediately after the tour of the Marais or any other time during your stay.
The museum’s collection is replete with masterpieces and iconic artworks. Picasso once said "I am the greatest collector of Picassos in the world." He had collected an enormous collection of his own work by the time of his death in 1973, ranging from sketchbooks to finished masterpieces. The Musée Picasso has over 5,000 works of art by Picasso including 3,700 works on paper, ceramics, sculptures in wood and metal, and paintings.

You will begin with a walking tour of Le Marais, which was one of Paris' main Jewish communities. The trendy neighborhood is now home to upscale boutiques and a vibrant nightlife. Admire the outstanding buildings, Jewish shops, street artists, restaurants, galleries and fashion houses.
Pass through some of the famous landmarks such as the House of Nicolas Flamel, the Musée Cognacq-Jay, the Musée Carnavalet and the very popular Café Charlot. Also, learn about the rich history and culture of Le Marais from your English speaking guide.
The Skip-the-line ticket to the Picasso Museum can be used immediately after the tour of the Marais or any other time during your stay.
If you choose to visit the museum right after Marais, then make your way to the Musée Picasso. You will beat the long queues and head straight to the museum. It will be a self-guided tour and your guide will not accompany you here.
The rich history of the artist’s painted works is retraced through nearly 300 paintings held in the Musée Picasso Paris collection today. From his Self-portrait and La Celestina produced during his Blue period to the Kiss, Large Nudes, Matadors and Musicians in his final years, the key periods of Picasso’s artistic career are represented.
The museum also consists of a superb selection of sculptures, ceramics and other objects that had been harbored in Picasso’s various studios for many years. Around 250 three-dimensional works make up the most comprehensive collection of the artist’s objects, including many rare pieces such as his relief paintings and Cubist constructions.
The museum’s library has some 11,000 publications in its collection. All of them have been purchased or obtained through donations or exchange over the past 30 years. The collection also holds some one hundred books illustrated by Pablo Picasso.
The museum continues to write papers and articles on the works in the collection and other subjects related to the artist.
