Your hotel in Paris
The city is home to the historic Eiffel Tower, one of the most recognised edifices in the world that was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of 1889, commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. A sightseeing cruise along the river Seine and a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral – the seat of the Archbishop of Paris and one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture, makes for a memorable day.
A sightseeing tour of Paris is incomplete without a walking tour in Montmartre where stands the grand Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Artists with their easels line the streets at the Place du Tertre. Many great artists like Picasso and Utrillo once sat in this very square.
Your Paris Sightseeing by Minivan tour will take you to all the major monuments and historical sights. You will be picked up from your hotel in Paris in an air conditioned minivan, accompanied by a guide.
Start the day with an orientation drive of Paris which will feature all of Paris’ major landmarks.
Follow this with a cruise on the beautiful river Seine, which adds charm to the tour and lets you look at the architecture of the historical buildings and café lined boulevards from a different perspective.
Visit the Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s most iconic buildings. Enjoy lunch on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower while enjoying the wonderful views of Paris.
Then proceed to the Notre Dame Cathedral, considered one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and the seat of the Archbishop of Paris. You will have time to explore at your leisure.
The excursion ends by taking you to Montmartre – a hill in the north of Paris. See the Sacré-Cœur Basilica - the highest point in the city. See the Place du Tertre where many artists set up their easels each day for the tourists. Penniless painters including Picasso and Utrillo lived here once. See the Moulin de la Galette - a windmill situated near the top of the district of Montmartre. It has been depicted by artists such as Renoir, Van Gogh, and Picasso. You will be free to explore Montmartre at your leisure.
After free time in Montmartre you will be returned to your hotel in Paris arriving at approximately 4:00pm.
Please call the local activity operator at least 24 hours prior to the start of the tour to confirm the departure details.
