Paris or the ‘City of Lights’ is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is bursting with fantastic sights and attractions. This great value full day tour combines the highlights of central Paris with a trip to the grand Palace of Versailles.
See the city’s iconic landmarks on a magical Seine river cruise, then enjoy skip-the-line access to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and experience the breathtaking panoramic views.
At the magnificent Palace of Versailles you will explore the famous rooms and gardens and discover the palace's role within French History. Built by Louis the XIV, the famous Palace of Versailles was designed to awe with its opulence. The 75 meter long Hall of Mirrors is particularly impressive with 17 huge mirrors and stucco work.
The gardens are almost as grand as the palace itself and the fountain show, accompanied by the music of one of the composers from the court of Louis XIV, is particularly delightful.
Access to the Eiffel Tower is in high demand and this tour often sells out. Should this tour not be available, we recommend you our most popular Versailles tour. >>
Set out from departure point in an air conditioned coach and travel to the Palace of Versailles which was built by Louis the XIV in the mid 17th century. It is the most famous palace in France and served as the political capital of the kingdom.
Explore the Royal Apartments and the Queen’s Suite with a live guide and see lavishly decorated rooms with frescoes, marble, gilt, woodwork and symbols from Roman and Greek mythology. The palace was designed by some of the most talented architects like Le Vau, Mansart and Charles Le Brun. The 75 metre long Hall of Mirrors is particularly impressive with 17 huge mirrors and stucco work showing the monarch in various guises. This tour has Live Guide with audiosets in different languages-English, French, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Russian, portugese, German & Chinese.
You can also take a stroll in the formal gardens which were designed by Andre le Notre. Almost as impressive as the palace itself are its ponds, tree lined avenues, marble and bronze statues and fountains. Watch the special fountain show held in the gardens of the palace. The display is accompanied by the music of one of the composers from the court of Louis XIV.
Enjoy a three course lunch in a restaurant situated in the centre of Paris.
In the afternoon, take a city tour of the main Parisian attractions and listen to an audio commentary about these famous landmarks. Follow it up with a one hour Seine River cruise and admire the famous bridges of Paris. An informative commentary will tell you more about the history of the city. The tour ends with skip-the-line acess to the 2nd level of the Eiffel Tower, which offers a panoramic view of the beautiful city of Paris.
The tour comes to an end at the Eiffel Tower. The tour ends at around 6:00pm.
During busy times, the visit of the Eiffel Tower may be replaced by a visit to the Montparnasse Tower. The Montparnasse Tower offers the best 360° view to discover Paris; facing the Eiffel Tower, the panoramic view is the best location to admire the top attractions and monuments of the city.
