Take this fantastic tour of Chantilly in France, one of the most important equestrian centers in Europe and home to the magnificent renaissance Chateau de Chantilly.
You will receive an informative audio guide, which will provide information about the Castle’s fascinating history. The audio guide will be available in French, English, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
Visit the Conde Museum where you can admire an interesting and impressive collection of paintings and drawings from the "Ecole Française" as well as masterpieces from the Italian painters such as Fra Angelico and Raphael.
Enjoy a great time exploring the majestic estate of more than 7,800 hectares of glorious gardens and park land, the Living Museum of the Horse and the Grand Stables. You will also have an opportunity to watch a spectacular 30-minute equestrian show.
For your Chantilly Castle Tour, make your way to 2 rue des Pyramides, 75001, Paris. You will board an air-conditioned at 9:00am and reach Chantilly at about 10:00am.
Start your day by exploring the Grand Stables and admire the impressive 18th-century architecture of Europe’s largest stables. Visit the Living Museum of the Horse and get an insight into the relationship between man and horse.
After that, you may watch an inventive 30-minute equestrian show (at your own expense) or have lunch (at your own expense).
Next, you will take a walk through the gardens. Spend the afternoon wandering the park, and relax in the French-style gardens of André Le Nôtre. Stroll along manicured walkways, and admire attractive water features, hedgerows and peaceful pavilions.
Proceed to the Chateau de Chantilly with your audio-guide; here you can see a collection of more than 3000 painting by some of the old masters. Among the castle’s former residents were the enormously wealthy High Constable Anne de Montmorency (chief minister to Francis I and Henry II), and the Grand Condé, a military genius who hosted Louis XIV for a three-day feast and theatrical in 1671.
