Overview

Retrace the history of the world’s most prestigious wine on a Champagne Tasting Tour in Epernay!

With Champagne Tasting Tour in Epernay tickets, you’ll head to the very heart of the Champagne region during your Paris trip! Make your pilgrimage to the Mecca of champagne: Benedictine Abbey in Hautvillers! This is the very place where Dom Pierre Pérignon developed the sparkling glass of bubbly that we’ve all come to know and love. Then, pay your respects at the tomb of Dom Perignon! Why this French Benedictine monk has yet to be made a saint is beyond comprehension. Learn the history of Champagne, from its humble beginnings as an upstart against red wine to its coronation as the world’s most popular celebratory wine!

Then, ride along in our comfortable minibus as you make your way to a family-run winery in Epernay! Here, you’ll tour the entire winery and learn about the wine-making process, from grape to glass. After working up a thirst, you’ll enjoy a demonstration of the proper way to open a bottle of champagne: By chopping off the head of the bottle with a saber. And finally, after much anticipation, it will be time to taste the fruit of their labor. Savor four different types of champagne as your guide helps you distinguish between each delicious glass of champagne.

Finally, after a break for lunch, you’ll descend into the exclusive wine caves of Moët & Chandon. This famous brand is known the world over. And, you’ll get one final tasting within the cool confines of these subterranean wine cellars. Compare the taste of one of the most popular brands of champagne to the tastings you enjoyed previously. Do you prefer the product of the family-run winery or the global champagne giant? You’ll have to taste them to find out. And, that’s why the Champagne Tasting tour in Epernay is one of the most fun things to do in Paris!
