Overview

Take in the stunning natural beauty of Panama from a unique perspective as you rise above the branches and canopies of the tropical rainforest in the only existing cable car in Panama. Sit back in safety and comfort and glide along the 1.2 kilometer line from the jungle floor all the way to the top of the Cerro Pelado hill and its observation tower, marveling at the stunning views along the way. Once at the top, look out over the Chagres River, the Panama Canal the town of Gamboa and an Embera Indian village.

As you ascend through the dense canopy and break out into glorious sunlight, your guide will point out the natural marvels of the forest around you. Learn about the vegetation such as the trumpet tree, the mountain fig, the wild cashew and balsa. These diverse plants and fruits provide the food for the many exotic species that inhabit this ecosystem from howler monkeys to capybaras, sloths to toucans and much more.

The car travels at speeds no faster than one meter per second which gives you plenty of time to admire the panoramic views and ready your camera for some fantastic wildlife and nature shots. Once at the top you will climb to the observation tower and experience the majestic beauty of this landscape before returning to the jungle floor.
