Our tips for Universal Orlando® Resort

  • Book your tickets online: Do a quick research online and check out the latest deals and discounts on offer. Booking online is always better than buying from the ticket booth and can save you both money and time.
  • Universal Express Pass: Enjoy one-time priority access to every ride, show and attraction. Get one if you are planning to visit during peak season. The passes are of course heavily in demand and the prices fluctuate, so make sure you buy them well in advance.
  • Arrive early: If you want to experience all the attractions with minimum waiting time, we suggest that you start the day early. Be at the park entrance 30 minutes before opening times. Sometimes the park allows all the early birds to enter when they are letting in guests with the early entry tickets. So here’s to hoping that you’re one of the lucky ones!

Good to know

Best time to visit
  • The best time to visit is during the months of Jan, Feb, March, the latter half of August and most days in September (except Fridays).
  • Public holidays and weekends are usually extremely crowded at the attraction, so it’s best to visit during the weekdays.
  • Check out the official hours before you visit. When the park hours are shorter, enter as soon as possible to make the most of your day.
Getting there
You can easily take a shuttle or trolley to the attraction. We however recommend that you book packages that include transportation along with your tickets to enjoy a hassle-free visit. You can also rent a car for the entire day.
Money saving tips
  • Book your tickets online instead of buying them from the ticket booth at the park as there are lots of great deals and discounts online and you can save a ton of dough by booking well in advance.
  • Also carry water and snacks with you as you don’t want to waste money buying bottled water and the food inside can be expensive. Another way to save money is by purchasing your theme-park tickets and Express Passes in advance online. You can save $20 right off the bat!
Did you know?
  • The attraction opened in 1990, with rides themed to such movies as Jaws, E.T., and King Kong. Movie-themed shows included Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Film Making Movies and Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show.
  • The Universal Studios Orlando Resort has been revamped over the years. Older rides have been replaced by rides and shows themed to the Simpsons, Despicable Me, Men in Black, the Mummy, Shrek, and Terminator.
  • The resort’s entertainment complex called CityWalk is a great spot for nightlife after the theme parks close or if you want a change of scene. You can catch a movie, play miniature golf, or go shopping.
