Activity Overview

Cuernavaca is a beautiful small town, famous throughout Mexico for its gentle climate and lush vegetation. It is also known as Mexico's Beverly Hills as many of Mexico's rich and famous have their retreats there. Some of the attractions include the Palace of Cortes, built by the famous conquistador in the 16th century and the town's Cathedral, a fortress-like structure also built by Cortes for the Franciscan Order.

Then sit back and enjoy the scenery as we continue on to Taxco. This pretty little town with cobbled streets, shady squares and vibrant marketplaces was once known throughout the world as the City of Silver. Here we visit a silver mine and learn how different alloys are made. After lunch there is plenty of time to explore this lively town and you will be able to snap up some of Mexico's beautiful jewellery and handicrafts before we board the coach for the drive back to Mexico City.
