The metrocable was designed as an ingenious complement to the city’s public transport in an effort to link the least developed areas of Medellin to the city. Medellin is located in Aburra Valley, so its geography inhibits transport between the neighbourhoods. Now, you can ride on the three lines that take you high over the city and over the hills into these lesser explored neighbourhoods with your guide, who will regale you with its fascinating history. After riding over the city skies, you’ll head to Explora Park – a symbol of modern Medellin.

With the largest freshwater aquarium in Latin America as well as 300 interactive exhibitions, the explorer in you will be spoiled for choice. Discover the world of natural science through exhibitions, a planetarium, indoor aquarium, reptile and insect collection and many more. Come face to face with the world’s most poisonous frog in an exhibition that recreates the environment of the wild Amazon regions in southern Colombia, as well as the aquarium that houses fascinating fish, such as the pirarucu fish which can weigh as much as 220 kg.
