Overview

Experience the best of Danum Valley on this comprehensive 3 Day excursion from Kota Kinabalu and immerse yourself in its sheer natural beauty.

Day 1: Depart Kota Kinabalu and head to Lahad Datu. On arrival, transfer to your accommodation for two nights. After a brief orientation and lunch, begin to explore the Danum Valley. A guided walk takes you along nature trails and canopy walkways to see the tropical plants and wildlife for which this area is renowned for. Post dinner, head out for a night drive on an open-air jeep in search of nocturnal animals (weather permitting). Today lunch and dinner will be included.

Day 2: After a wonderful breakfast, the Coffin Trail awaits you this morning as you take a guided walk to an ancient Kadazan-dusun burial site. A 40-minute climb rewards you with stunning views from a magnificent look-out point. Then enjoy a swim at the Jacuzzi pool before returning to your lodge for lunch. Today breakfast, lunch and dinner will be included. You may also enjoy the optional water tubing for an hour in the Danum River or trekking along the Segama River.

Day 3: Another nature walk this morning takes you along the Segama or Hornbill Trail, through lush rain-forest. Later, return to the lodge in time for lunch and transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. Today breakfast and lunch will be included.

A surcharge is applicable on all tours/packages ex-outskirt hotels (Nexus Karambunai, Shangri-la Rasa Ria, Beringgis etc): SIC - MYR55/person (return) & PVT - MYR85/person (return).

A surcharge of MYR195 per person will be imposed on transportation if a passenger fails to follow the scheduled departure at 1600 hrs, after the mountain climb.

In order to catch the scheduled transfer, passengers are recommended to take flight MH3010/MH3023** to and from LDU. Transfer schedule: 0930 hrs Lahad Datu to Borneo Rainforest Lodge and 1330 hrs from Borneo Rainforest Lodge to Lahad Datu. A surcharge of MYR220/person (return) is applicable for unscheduled transfer.

Additional night for Standard Room at MYR910 net per person.

Peak Season surcharge of MYR120 per person is applicable for stay during 1 Apr - 30 Apr, 15 Jul - 15 Oct & 1 Mar - 31 Mar.

This tour involves a fair amount of walking, so you will need to have an average level of fitness. For your comfort, we recommend wearing good and sturdy walking shoes.
