Visit the Gandhi Square and see the statue of a Mahatma Gandhi from his younger days, and artworks celebrating Johannesburg’s multicultural roots, before moving to the base of the Carlton Centre. You’ll ascend to the 50th floor to see stunning views of the city. This area is one of the city’s most exciting regions, so soak it all up while visiting some of the iconic sights.
Further, explore the Maboneng Cultural Precint that was earlier a 'No Go Zone'. This area now counts among one of the most vibrant and lively areas of Johannesburg. See and learn more about the growth of South Africa from one of the most dangerous cities to the warm and multicultural city it is today. Hear folklores and tales about the history, culture and traditions of Johannesburg.
Hit the main streets to enhance your experience about the locals and their daily life. Fell the local atmosphere as you get to know more about the modern Johannesburg.

Dress standards are conservative throughout Africa. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means covering shoulders and no short shorts. We recommend a mixture of loose, lightweight clothing and warm clothing for the evenings. Shorts should be knee-length. Singlets and tank tops are not suitable.
