This great tour will show you the very best of the Old Town of Edinburgh.
Your will start off exploring theRoyal Mile; the main artery of the Old Town area which runs from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood Palace. You will visit Parliament Hall, one of the oldest buildings in the city.
This tour will lead you where tour buses or guide books won’t take you; the closes, wynds, courtyards and homes of Old Edinburgh.
Following your Royal Mile tour you will continue to explore Edinburgh’s iconic castle. Standing proudly atop Castle Rock this is Edinbur’s top attraction. Your expert guide will lead you on a guided tour of this fascinating landmark.
You will meet your guide at Mercat Cross, an octagonal monument on the Royal Mile, opposite City Chambers.
Your tour will take you through the narrow alleyways of the Royal Mile, often no more than a few feet wide, leading downhill on either side of the main spine forming a herringbone pattern. There are numerous notable buildings in the area such as St. Giles' Cathedral.
Visit Parliament Hall which is the oldest part of the Scottish Parliament and was once the supreme court. It was built in 1632 and while it may no longer be a functioning court the hall has hardly changed and will transport you back hundreds of years.

From the Royal Mile your tour will continue to the incredible Edinburgh Castle. This imposing landmark dominates the Edinburgh skyline and dates back to the 9th century BC. Your expert guide will lead you on a fascinating discovery of the castle, its history and its secrets.
