I usually take visitors on my own walking tour of Edinburgh but my guest had a sore back, so I decided to use the Hop On Hop Off Bus to give her an overview of the city without doing any walking. Once we did that, I took her to a couple of places that are my favorite spots on foot. So we were able to spend the whole day seeing and learning about the history of Edinburgh while just sitting on the bus! My only complaint was that the monitors were very hard to read (well scratched up) and the audio would sometimes switch languages over a bump in the road.

We had the red pass and upgraded to red-green-blue. I liked the blue bus for going to Leith but the green bus was best because the commentary was live
