Day 1

The drive takes you through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park where the majestic lake and surrounding hills follow you for miles! This spectacular route towards the north opens up into the brooding expanse of Rannoch Moor as your journey through Glen Coe. This glen is famously known for its haunting history of the MacDonald Clan Massacre in the 17th century, but it is also known for its incredible views, waterfalls and majestic hills.

As you drive further towards Fort William, this Highland town marks the end of Scotland’s oldest and most popular walking trail – The West Highland Way. Stop for lunch here and take in views of UK’s tallest peak – the Ben Nevis. Thereafter, as the road takes you near the coast, stop at Eilean Donan Castle to capture Scotland’s most photographed castle behind your lens too! Explore the castle that featured in the film Highlander before you cross the bridge to Skye and make your base at the Isle of Skye for two nights.

Day 2

Enjoy a full day exploring the incredible Isle of Skye with your expert and fun driver-guide who will ensure you get the most out of your day with sights such as The Old Man of Storr, the craggy Cuilin Mountains, the beautifully impressive Trotternish Peninsula, the Kilt Rock and Mealt Waterfall. Admire the Iron Age Dun Beag Broch. Dun Beagor “the small fort” is the best known, the best preserved, and the most accessible broch on Skye. An endless array of sights await so be sure to pack extra batteries for your camera!

After taking in the most wonderful and breathtaking sights of Skye, stop for lunch at the colourful town of Portree where you can enjoy delicious fish and chips next to the harbour. Just be sure to keep an eye out for the clever seagulls! Close the day with some delicious Scottish Whisky before heading back to your accommodation for a second restful evening in the Isle of Skye.

Day 3

The final day of the tour has a lot in store as you begin with a visit to the most famous lake in the world – Loch Ness. Enjoy the tales of the legendary mythical creature of the Loch Ness, fondly called Nessie! Try to spot the legendary Loch Ness monster on the cruise and de-board where the impressive atmospheric ruins of Urquhart Castle dominate the shores of Loch Ness.

Thereafter, head to the famous battlefield of Culloden where you can explore the site where the last stand of the Jacobites raged against the British forces in the 18th century. An interactive exhibition and impressive visitor centre makes for a fantastic experience where you can learn about the events surrounding the battle.

The last leg of the journey brings you to the picturesque Highland town of Pitlochry, where you can pick up souvenirs for loved ones back home, explore the pretty town perched next to the river Tummel or simply indulge in local treats before returning to Edinburgh. The tour comes to a close as you are dropped off at the starting point.
