Overview

Head out of Dubrovnik to the lush Neretva Valley, where your senses will be blown away by the scent of the fruit and kiwi plantations that characterise the area, as well as the verdant green landscape that melts into the river and dramatic mountain gorges.

We travel along the picturesque valley before reaching the city of Mostar, famous for its characteristic Old Bridge built in the 16th century by the Ottomans. Known as a melting pot of cultures, Mostar lays testament to its varied history through its fascinating mix of architecture. Predominantly influenced by centuries long Turkish rule, today you can still admire its skyline punctuated by slim minarets as well as a cobbled bazaar and ornate wooden balconies.

Mostar is where East meets West and is also where pilgrims from all over the world come to see where it is believed that Our Lady appeared. As a result, it is now one of the largest prayer centres in the world, you will also have the chance to visit the Apparition Hill and attend Mass in the local church.
