With no other way to go but up, this once neglected city is taking baby steps towards a new beginning. Take part in an experience that reveals history-in-the-making during your Detroit trip. Ten years down the line, what you’ll see today will be a story of yesteryears. If you’re looking for something exciting to do in a revitalized city, then this tour is what to do in Detroit!

Come across some of the most impressive buildings in Detroit. Check out the art-deco architecture of the Guardian Building, considered one of the finest examples in the country. Take a good look at the $800 million MGM Grand Casino and hotel, too. Then, explore Campus Martius Park, which won an award for being the country’s most transformative urban park. Your tour will come to an end at a local watering hole, where you can enjoy a complimentary drink with locals. It’s one of the best things to do in Detroit!

There will be a considerable amount of walking. Carry along an umbrella in case it rains.

On the occasional day when a steady heavy rain might dampen the mood on a walking tour, we will start from the same location but we will stay dry by using Detroit's public transport.

On a very rare occasion, the People Mover or one of the venues that we usually visit may be unavailable.

Children between the ages of 6 and 11 years are permitted on this tour at the rate listed above. Please select “child” above when booking. Children under the age of 6 years will unfortunately have to sit this one out.
