Overview

A visit to Casablanca is a must on your Moroccan visit. Being the largest city in Morocco and the economic capital of the country, Casablanca has a lot that is interesting. Start your tour with the old medina (old city) and move on to the Mohammed V square which is a majestically built complex around a fountain. It houses government offices, courts and banks. See the influence of French and Moorish architecture in these buildings.

Also see the Royal Palace and the famous Hassan II mosque, the second largest mosque in the world. It is a stunning piece of architecture and craftsmanship, situated right on the Atlantic Ocean. As you move around the city of Casablanca, you’ll pass through large areas of greenery with palm trees, arcades, pergolas and cafés with shady terraces. This tour to Casablanca will acquaint you with the history and culture and the economic progress of Morocco.

Itinerary

  • This tour will start with a morning pick up from your hotel at 9:00am. Accompanied by an English-speaking guide you will be taken on a guided sightseeing tour of Casablanca.

    This includes a look at the old medina; Place Mohammed V, a busy shopping street dating from the 1930’s; United Nation’s Square, designed by French architect Joseph Marrast.

    Next, proceed to the League of Arab States Park, which offers a large area of greenery with palm trees, arcades, pergolas and cafés with shady terraces; and the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the second largest in the world.

    An hour long guided inside tour of the mosque allows guests to see the inside of one of very few mosques in Morocco that is open to non-muslims.

    At the end of the tour, you will return back to your hotel in Casablanca.
