An intergalactic adventure awaits on this 4-hour Doctor Who tour. Since its return in 2005, much of the show has been filmed in Cardiff, Wales.
For fans of the show, this tour is a must whilst visiting the Welsh capital. You will see plenty of locations from the TV show, ranging from key locations in Cardiff city centre to the surrounding areas. Wander through Amy Pond’s village, locations from the Christmas 2012 episode and see sites from Doctor Who spin offs such as The Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood. Along the way you’ll also get to see main Cardiff attractions.
Your tour will be led by enthusiastic Doctor Who experts, some of whom have been extras in several episodes of the show. They will shower you with anecdotes and interesting facts about the series. You’ll learn how the show is made, get trivia about some of the stars and you’ll also have the chance to stop at several locations, have a stroll and take pictures.
Make your way to the Wales Millennium Centre, and meet your guide inside the main foyer. This 4-hour tour will take you to key locations used in the filming of Doctor Who, and your expert guide will be at hand to answer your questions and provide you with intriguing facts of the show and its cast.
The tour not only shows you the locations you recognize from the show, but you will also see the main attractions of the Welsh capital and its surrounding areas! Avoid the reapers as you visit the church where Doctor and Rose seek safety, visit the village used as the home of Amy Pond in the first episode featuring Matt Smith and take part in re-enacting one of those scenes. Have your photo taken outside the home of Sarah Jane and visit the cemetery where Oswin Oswald is laid to rest in The Snowman.
Your tour will finish at the Wales Millennium Center, and you are then free to spend the rest of the day as you please.
