  • Overview

Discover the glories of South Africa’s famed Garden Route on this magical trip from Cape Town. The Garden Route is so called because it runs through a lush landscape of thick woodland and fragrant bush along the Western Cape coastline – a marked contrast to the dry grasslands of so much of Africa.

This delightful 6-day tour takes you beneath towering mountains, along rocky coasts, past forest and fynbos (bush), lakes and lagoons, and breathtakingly beautiful bays and beaches.

Against this scenic backdrop you’ll enjoy special treats such as historic architecture, spectacular caverns, wine-tasting and wonderful wildlife.

From Cape Town travel to Oudtshoorn, center of the world’s ostrich farming industry. Admire the coastlines of Knysna and Tsitsikamma and stop at lovely Plettenberg Bay. Marvel at Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world and the location for a dizzyingly high bungy jump.

Your tour ends at Port Elizabeth – the “friendly city” – and you may find yourself making a solemn promise to return to this gorgeous part of the world as soon as possible!
