Tour returns to the original departure point
In the morning, you will be picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Cairo. Accompanied by a guide, you will be taken to the Pharaonic Village situated a few kilometres from the centre of Cairo.
The pharaonic era is brought alive by a group of actors, and faithful reproductions of buildings and clothing. You can sail on comfortable motorized barges down a network of canals and view incredibly accurate recreation of life in ancient Egypt. Though the city of Cairo surrounds the island, not a trace of it penetrates the thick wall of trees planted around the island. Over a hundred actors and actresses perform all the daily activities such as agriculture, pottery, sculpture and weaving among others. Everyone that would have existed in an ancient Egyptian city is present in the modern recreation, from pharaoh to fishermen, potters and priests.
After enjoying a flavour of ancient Egypt, you will be dropped back to your hotel in Cairo.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming the departure details.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
