You’ll tread among the dead in ancient graveyards and hear stories of those whose earthly remains lie beneath your feet. Shiver as you listen to torrid tales of torture, murders, punishments and executions and the greatest grave-robbing scandal in New England’s history. Find out about Jolly Jane and the Boston Strangler and visit a haunted hotel. Discover why early Bostonians were terrified of being buried alive.
This eerie Bostonian experience is extremely popular and a ‘must do’ for locals and out-of-towners alike.

To join the spine-tingling Boston Ghosts and Gravestones Tour you should make your way to the designated meeting point. Hand your booking voucher to the conductor as you board the trolley for the creepiest experience in town.
This “Frightseeing” tour kicks off in dark and is led by an actor guide, who’s likely just as scary as the stories he or she will be relating!
Boston has the reputation of being one of America’s most haunted cities – hardly surprising when you look at its turbulent past, which includes hundreds of years of conflict and war, turmoil, disease and strife.
The tour takes place from April to November but whether the evenings are cool or warm you are likely to feel an eerie chill up your spine.
Your guide will lead you through two of the following ancient burial grounds: Copp's Hill Burying Ground, The Granary Burying Ground or King's Chapel Burying Ground. As you explore these graveyards dating back nearly 400 years, be careful not to step too harshly on the many unmarked, unrecognizable gravestones under your feet.
During the tour, you’ll hear a host of spooky tales and learn all sorts of eerie trivia. For example, you’ll discover why many Boston colonists feared being buried alive.
Try to imagine how Bostonians felt when The Boston Strangler was still at large; discover why Jolly Jane was anything but jolly. Learn why and how the Boston Harbor was once a source of many deaths in the earliest days.Watch for signs of life from the other side as you pass by Boston’s most haunted hotel, the Omni Parker House, and listen to the tales of the resident spirits that have haunted certain rooms for decades.
The tour lasts 90 minutes and ends back at the starting point.

This tour is rated PG-13. An adult must accompany children under 10 years of age. The tour may not be suitable for children under 13. Children under 6 are not permitted on the tour.
