GIANT’S CAUSEWAY & NORTHERN IRELAND TOUR - Approx. 8 Hours
This tour indulges you with some of the spectacular wonders of Northern Ireland with our first stop being the stunning Dunluce Castle, which were used as the House of Greyjoy. Moving forward, we will head the Old Bushmills Distillery, the world’s oldest licensed whisky distillery and the only place that uses 100% malted barley in its whiskies. Irish whiskeys are some of the finest in the world and we would totally egg you on to at least sample this delicacy, including the famous Black Bush!
Driving past the picturesque Irish countryside, we will reach the major highlight of the tour, the breathtaking Giant’s Causeway. Spend quality time climbing over the ancient polygonal steps caused by a volcanic eruption 60 million years ago and regale in a typically Irish legend claiming that a giant named Finn McCool sculpted the columns. Next up, you can savour an intense blood-pumping rush as you cross the swinging Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, hanging over a chasm some 30 metres deep and 20 metres wide.
Our memorable journey continues as we drive past the scenic villages of Cushendall, Glenariff and Cushendun, before taking a comfort stop at Carnlough. Our final pitstop is Carrickfergus Castle, shrouded in a turbulent history fraught with politics, massacres and local legends. We promise you will head back to Belfast having experienced some of the best Northern Ireland has to offer!
