    The Amsterdam Dungeon is a guided experience lasting approximately 80 minutes.

  • Start time

    The Amsterdam Dungeon opens at 11:00 a.m. and the last tour starts at 6 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the last tour starts at 7:00 p.m. There are late night tours for Halloween during the month of October and special hours around Christmas.

    The Amsterdam Dungeon is located at Rokin 78, Amsterdam 1012 KW.
    Getting There – The Amsterdam Dungeon is a 15 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Go straight down the Damrak, which becomes Rokin.
    Take tram line 9 or 16 to the Spui stop. Or, take tram line 4 or 24 to the Spui/Rokin stop.

Scream past 500 years of dark history at The Amsterdam Dungeon!

Creep your way through 11 ghastly shows to uncover the seedy underbelly of Amsterdam and its sordid past. The disturbed cast of performers will have you in stitches during the Magic Musico performance and screaming bloody murder only moments later with Hell on the Batavia. The friendly Key Keeper eagerly awaits your descent into the plague-ridden vaults, below; but, he’s often thrown into a homicidal rage when people are late… So, you should probably hurry!

Victims…I mean… guests are encouraged to participate during some of the shows. So, don’t be surprised if you find yourself swabbing a disease-filled deck or strapped to a dentist’s chair of a maniac. But, don’t worry! If you arrive at The Amsterdam Dungeon after 4:00 p.m., you can take the edge off by imbibing a spirit during a bonus performance in The Dungeon Bar. Chances are you might need that drink!

The Amsterdam Dungeon is a live guided experience. The guides speak English and Dutch.

On Fridays and Saturdays, an extra charge of €3 per person will be charged at the entrance from 4:00 p.m. onwards. You'll then enjoy an extra show and a complimentary drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) in the Dungeon Bar.

The Amsterdam Dungeon is wheelchair accessible. Only one wheelchair is permitted at a time.
