Overview

Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo. How about you? If you are, then ARTIS zoo is the place to be. With its vast amounts of different species from penguins to wolves, you won’t fail to be impressed. Especially as you’ll have skip-the-line to get in.

See all the animals and then head into the microscopic world of Micropia and discover the lives of the planets smallest creatures. You’re in for a wild, yet refined and historical time. There's also an impressive art collection, a zoological library, a planetarium, and 27 monuments found throughout the area. Elephants, penguins, giraffes, jaguars – all the usual suspects and more can be found at the Netherlands's oldest zoo. Walk among the beautiful buildings and soak up the atmosphere and animal sightings. There's art in its aquarium (alongside the sea creatures), an old-timey zoological library just behind the anteaters, and an excellent restaurant with a terrace overlooking the aviary.

Think all creatures great and small. Whatever the size they are all amazing.
