Winters in Amsterdam are truly spectacular, with the annual Amsterdam Lights Festival transforming the city through its striking light shows. There’s no better way to see these epic light installations than from the water, aboard a canal cruise boat.

Take the Amsterdam Water Colors Cruise and experience the colourful and immersive light art, created by local as well as international artists. The 75-minute cruise gives you a ringside view of the various light sculptures, projections and installations scattered around the city. The artists have collaborated on this year’s theme ‘The Medium is the Message,’ the famous statement by the Canadian scientist Marshall McLuhan.

Board your Amsterdam Water Colors Cruise from Lovers company Leidsekade and sail past the many illuminated installations as part of the Amsterdam Lights Festival.

Cruise through the historical centre of Amsterdam and admire the unique light sculptures, projections and installations created by local as well as international artists. The theme for this year’s Amsterdam Light Festival is The Medium is the Message. The retina-boggling installations convey a message and the city of Amsterdam finds itself as a medium for telling stories.

Take in the beauty of the city as you cruise past museums and the city’s most iconic buildings, all illuminated under the evening sky.

After your 90-minute cruise, you will be dropped at the start point. You are free to explore the artworks at your leisure.
