Visit some of the charming towns and drive through the rural beauty of the Algarve on this sightseeing tour.
Visit the old town of Faro which contrasts the lively new town, visit "the Venice of Algarve": the town of Tavira.
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a guided tour in a bus. This tour is full of interest in what the East side of the Algarve has to offer you and we combine Culture with Leisure in one Tour.
Tour starting in Almancil, you can visit one of the most beautiful and unique churches in Portugal the São Lorenço church. This church is so amazing that you will see that doesn’t exist inside once single space that is in white; São Lourenço was a saint of the Catholic church that was a deacon, he use to split the handouts that he use to receive with the poor until he was caught by the Romans, that forced him to confess being arrested and later burned. This church is one real ex-libris due to the portray of this entire story in the blue and amazing tiles.
Once in Faro, you will have a guided visit to the interesting Old part of the town, the Arch of the Villa - One of Faro´s ex-libris, the construction of Arco da Vila was ordered to the Italian architect Francisco Xavier Fabri by bishop Francisco Gomes de Avelar, in the place where there had been before a medieval gate; the arch marks the entrance to Vila Adentro (Inner Town), the city’s historic centre, and displays in a niche an image of Saint Thomas. Out of curiosity, note the top of the building, where Starks love to make their nests...
You will also have free time for shopping.
One of the most ancient towns in the Algarve, Olhão is known for its peculiar cubist houses and as an important fishing harbour. After the visit you will have free time for lunch.
Then we leave to the “Venice” of the Algarve, Tavira that is one of the most beautiful towns in the Algarve, here you will have time to visit the castle - locally known as Castelo de Tavira, which lies in the town historic centre (It’s unknown when the first castle at this site was built. Sources say in the VIII century B.C., a fortress was already being rebuilt by the Phoenicians in that place. The actual castle however probably dates back to the XII century) and St. Maria church, built in the XIII century.
