Approx. 7 hours
Start time: 8am (The start time depends on your pick-up location. It will be confirmed to you when your booking is confirmed.)
Drop-off at the Hotel.
Travel in a convoy of jeeps and go up hills and down dales, crossing streams and through meadows. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of an area almost untouched by time.
Go off the beaten track and straight into the heart of Algarve on this Land Rover safari.
What's the plan:
On this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel. All the jeeps will convene together for a short briefing before this 8 hour safari begins.
Drive northwards and stop at a traditional house in Lombada where you can witness the 50-year art of basket making called “Cesteiros”. Continue with the off-road drive through the country side as your guide informs you about the flora, fauna and the history & culture of the area.
Around mid-morning stop at a traditional Algarve village "Alte", is considered one of the most traditional villages in Algarve. Visiting this village you will have the opportunity to have coffee and appreciate the typical Algarvian white house and its chimneys.
Visit “Quinta do Freixo”, a distillery farm where one can taste the famous “medronho” (fire water) and also the biological jams. Then we travel through the farmlands of Picota.
The tour ends at your hotel.
Voucher Information: Sorry, but we will need you to print a paper version of your booking voucher (we're working on changing this). At this time no refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
