The Miami City Sightseeing Tour with Trolley is an excellent introduction to the most interesting parts of Miami. There are two tours a day – morning and afternoon. Hotel pick up is only available for the morning tour. Hotel drop-off is only available for the afternoon tour. For the afternoon tour you should go to Bayside Marketplace (401 Biscayne Boulevard, Downtown Miami) to meet the trolley bus.
This outstanding tour takes three hours and 30 minutes. As you tour the highlights of Miami you can listen to an informative audio commentary in English, German or Spanish. The trolley bus will stop at convenient locations for you to take photographs but otherwise this is a 'drive past' tour.
You will discover the incredible diversity of Miami as your comfortable trolley bus takes you through the districts of Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and Little Havana. Points of interest for each are listed below:
Miami Beach: An important shopping and entertainment destination. Also home to the world's largest collection of Art Deco architecture. Mediterranean Revival and Streamline Moderne styles are also represented here.
Downtown Miami: The central business district of South Florida and home to many government offices and courthouses. Key shopping areas include Flagler Street and Bayside Marketplace, an outdoor shopping mall overlooking Biscayne Bay, which is one of Miami's most visited tourist attractions.
Coconut Grove: A delightful neighborhood, with tree-fringed streets leading down to a beautiful bay. Famous for its annual art festival, Coconut Grove also hosts fun events like the Caribbean Carnival celebrating Bahamian culture, food, and music.
Coral Gables: A planned community developed during the Florida land boom of the 1920s. The architecture is almost entirely Mediterranean Revival Style. This neighborhood is the home of the University of Miami.
Little Havana: The best known neighborhood for Cuban exiles in the world. Its festivals, including Carnival Miami, Cultural Fridays, the Three Kings Parade, are televised to millions of people every year. Well-known landmarks include the Walkway of the Stars (for famous artists and Latin personalities), the Cuban Memorial Boulevard, Plaza de la Cubanidad and others.
