  • Overview & Itinerary

    Overview

Explore the tropical paradise of Key West in your own way by choosing any one of the three activities - snorkeling, glass bottom ride or Old Town Trolley, available with this bumper package.

After a stunning drive down the Keys past azure vistas of sea and sky, you arrive at the United States’ southernmost city, where all kinds of possibilities await.

You may choose to enjoy a catamaran and snorkeling adventure in an underwater landscape of elkhorn and brain corals teeming with multi-hued marine life. Or, if you take the glass-bottomed boat option, you can explore the same delights without getting wet.

'Landlubbers' can enjoy the excellent Old Town Trolley hop-on hop-off tour. Let the expert conductor entertain you with fact, fun, trivia and colorful anecdotes about Key West and its pirates, writers, artists and legendary 6-toed cats.

All three packages give you ample time to explore Key West's many attractions from fresh-seafood to the US' 'Southernmost Point’ to President Truman's retreat and Hemingway's house.

    Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Miami and driven to Key West. You will drive south through Florida crossing 42 bridges and hopping over 32 islands before reaching Key West – at around 12 noon. There will be one rest-stop on the way. The views of the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico on the journey will be 'out of this world'.

In Key West – the southernmost city in the continental US – you'll find a Caribbean atmosphere, street artists, outdoor cafes, and restaurants just waiting to enchant you.

You can take up any one of the three activities for your great day out from Miami: Key West Snorkeling Adventure, Key West Old Town Trolley Adventure and Key West Glass Bottom Boat Adventure.

    Key West Snorkeling Adventure:

This great option offers you the chance to take a thrilling snorkeling cruise in a 65-foot catamaran. The coral reef off Key West, Florida is the third largest barrier reef in the world with a variety of spectacular plants and animals. In addition, the warm, tropical water allows visitors to snorkel year round.

Snorkel gear is provided. You will have a total of 5 hours in the Key West area so, on top of your catamaran trip, you will have 2 hours to enjoy what Key West has to offer.

One of the best spots to visit is Mallory Square, a place where many gather for a spontaneous daily celebration. Mallory Square is located by the historic waterfront.

You could also visit the Key West Aquarium, or the fascinating Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum, or Harry S. Truman's Little White House (admission to these venues is not included in your tour). Or have your photo taken by the monument that marks the Southernmost Point in the United States.

You will want to grab some lunch at one of the excellent restaurants in Key West (payable direct). Why not sample some of the fabulous fresh seafood? At approximately 6:00pm you will board your vehicle for the return journey. There will be one rest-stop on the way back.

You will arrive back in Miami at around 8:30pm and will be dropped off at your hotel.

Key West Old Town Trolley Adventure
This package is the same as the one above, but instead of the catamaran cruise you can enjoy a hop-on, hop-off, fully narrated, Old Town Trolley Tour. Not only is this your expertly guided tour of Key West, but it's your ride to wherever you want to visit. The trolley makes 12 stops at all the must-see places in Key West. You can jump off, visit the sights and re-board all day long.

Aboard the trolley bus, you’ll be treated to some 'Transportainment', a delightful combination of transportation and entertainment. Knowledgeable conductors narrate the tour with a fascinating mix of trivia and humorous stories.
