Overview

Explore more of Albania on a tour from Tirana and visit Lezha, a town in northwest Albania, and Shkodra city, surrounded on three sides by the rivers Kir in the east, Drin in the south and Buna in the west.

Lezha dates back to the 8th century or even earlier. A blend of historical events and natural beauty, the city plays a significant role in the history of the country. Lezha called Lissus in ancient times and is famous for the Mausoleum of Skanderbeg (Albanian National Hero) and its ancient city walls.

The next stop is Shkodra city, 45 minutes away. Historically known as Scutari or Scodra. The lake, named after the city of Shkodër, is the largest lake in Southern Europe close to the Adriatic Sea. Visit the castle and step into this magnificent city to explore its atmospheric streets. Wrap up the excursion with a boat tour (on request) across the Lake in Shkoder. You can also enjoy lunch at Shiroka with scenic views of Shkodra’s Lake.
