    This Seoul tour provides an exciting insight into Korea’s imperial past and present-day lifestyle and culture with guided visits to its most prominent royal residencies and historical landmarks as well as a trip to Seoul’s traditional markets. Tickle your taste buds with local-style lunch and dinner to make this experience even more authentic!


    Begin this full-day tour with a hassle-free pick up from your Seoul hotel. Enjoy comfortable transfers along with a professional guide who makes this journey even more informative and fun for you!

    Pass by the Deoksugung Palace, one of the five grand palaces built by the king of Joseon Dynasty, known for its western style garden and fountain. Further, drive by the Seoul Station and Namdaemun. Check out the 11 km long Cheonggyecheon Stream that runs through downtown Seoul. Now a public recreation space, Cheonggyecheon is a massive urban renewal project at a site of a river that once flowed freely during the Joseon Dynasty!

    Stop next at the main gate of the presidential residence of the Republic of Korea - Blue House or Cheongwadae, a fantastic background to click a souvenir photo. Then, visitCheongwadae Saranchae, a Korean presidential exhibition center. Prepare for another highlight of this tour –Gyeongbokgung Palace, built by the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) as its main palace, that served as a representative of sovereign rule during that period. You will also explore the National Folk Museum of Korea, located within the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace that houses 4000 items on Korea’s traditional lifestyle. Walk around the three permanent exhibition halls, two special exhibition halls, a shop and a reference room to gain an insight on Korea’s history and culture.

    Enjoy another special part of this day by observing The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, a rare traditional scene in Korea. Don’t forget to click some memorable pictures of the guards in their impressive costumes. Then, visit the Jogseya Temple, the center of Zen Buddhism in Korea.

    Relax during lunch time and savour a traditional Korean hot dish called dolsot bibimbap, popular for its flavor and exceptional taste.

    In the second part of your tour, you will cover traditional markets and your first stop will the outdoor market of Mang-won, located near Central Seoul known for its fresh produce and mouth-watering street food.

    Shop like a Korean at Homeplus, a one-stop retail store selling a wide variety of quality food and non-food items at the best prices. During the course of the tour, experience the hustle and bustle of the old traditional markets of Jungbu & Gwangjang that sell dried seafood, Korean sweets, street food etc.

    Before concluding your tour and heading to your hotel, call it a day with a dinner comprising of pork rib, soybean stew and rice!

    The Royal Guard Changing Ceremony does not take place on Tuesdays. You will visit the Deoksugung Palace instead.

    If your accommodation isn't in Seoul (for example, Incheon), you have to pay extra for the hotel pick-up and drop-off. Charges are based on the distance on the tour day.
