Check out an absolutely beautiful waterfall at the beginning of your hike. Then, as you make your way to Tijuca’s Peak, keep an eye out for opportunistic monkeys, majestic toucans, and more of Brazil’s exotic wildlife! Then, once you’ve conquered Tijuca’s Peak and find yourself at the summit, take in amazing views of the valley below, Guanabara Bay in the distance, and other Rio de Janeiro attractions, like Maracanã Stadium, Sugarloaf Mountain, and more! Pick up is available from most hotels in the São Conrado, Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana (South Zone) areas of Rio de Janeiro. If we are not able to pick up from your hotel, an alternate pick-up location will be arranged upon reconfirmation.
Please be ready in your hotel lobby 5 minutes prior to the agreed pick-up time. The guide will come in and call you by name.
Hiking duration is approximately 1.5 hours and is considered a moderate hike.
We recommend that you wear light clothes and hiking shoes.
Bring a small backpack with water, snacks, sunscreen, sun hat, and cash if you want to buy anything.
The tour date might change depending on weather conditions and other unavoidable circumstances.
There is no age restriction, but we recommend this activity for adults between 15 and 55 years of age.
People with heart disease or respiratory diseases, such as asthma or bronchitis, should not take this tour.
