On land, you can hop on a coach and visit the Viking Ship Museum. You will get free entrance to either Fram Museum or the Kon-Tiki Museum as per your choice. Transportation is provided for the entire day, so you can travel in comfort between the museums.
This tour starts from Kronprinsesse Märthas plass of the Oslo City Hall.
Board a sightseeing boat and sail past a maze of green islands dotted with picturesque summer houses. The Norwegian coastline offers a dramatic mix of mountains, fjords, quaint villages and graceful castles.
The coach will take you to the centre of Oslo where you visit:
• Viking Museum: See some of the few remaining preserved viking ships; Oseberg ship, Gokstad ship and Tune ship. In addition to the ships, the Viking Age display includes sledges, beds, a horse cart, wood carvings, tent components, buckets and other historical goods.
• Vigeland Sculpture Park: Envisioned by a single man, Gustav Vigeland, the Sculpture Park is an astonishing showcase of the artist's lifework. There are over 200 sculptures made out of bronze, granite and wrought iron. One of the main attractions of the park is The Monolith, a column over 14 metres high into which entwined human bodies are sculpted.
• Holmenkollen Ski Jump: Stop for the photos and admire the panoramic views from the top of the ski jump and see the world’s oldest ski museum.
You can choose to visit either the Fram Museum or the Kon-Tiki Museum.
• Fram Museum or the Kon-Tiki Museum: After the photo stop, you can choose either if you want to learn more about polar history in the Fram Museum or about Thor Heyderdahl’s spectacular expeditions in the Kon-Tiki Museum.
The tour ends at the Rådhusbrygge 3 by the City Hall.
Boat will operate only if weather permitting.
Please call the tour operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming the departure details.
