Let's face it, the fairly drab town of Nadi (pronounced Nahn-dee) is really a getting-in, getting-out point for Fiji's main attractions, the Coral Coast and the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. So, it's hardly surprising, that Nadi's main attraction are 'around' the town and not 'in' it, despite the presence of the multi-coloured Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, supposedly the largest Hindu temple in the Southern Hemisphere. A 10-minute drive from this Indian community-dominated place on the western coast of Viti Levu, is the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, a 50-acre property where you can stroll through some 150,000 orchids. At Wailoaloa Beach, you can hire horses and trot on the beach itself, or go further afields and explore dirt tracks and sugarcane fields. Once you're done buying souvenirs – and Nadi is really the best place to do it – the top-of-the-pops is the ancient British-styled Puffing Billy one-car train that deposits you at Natadola Beach resort after a 10-mile journey through sugar cane fields, lush forest and occasional coastline. Here, you should have only one ambition – to relax. And that should not difficult achieving here.
SORRY! AT THE MOMENT, WE DON'T HAVE ANY TOURS AVAILABLE IN NADI REGION
