Surrounded by cobalt-blue waters and magnificent coral reefs, lovely South Sea Island lies just 30 minutes from Denarau by high-speed catamaran.
The Island offers a fantastic range of activities for you to enjoy. With superb swimming and snorkelling in the clear tropical waters, kayaking, sailing and a glorious beach there is something for everyone. And don’t miss the chance to dive beneath the waves in a semi-submersible vessel to see close-up views of beautiful corals and jewel-colored fish.
A delicious lunch plus beer, wine and soft drinks are provided and your meal will be enlivened by a performance of a Fijian ‘meke’, an evocative traditional song and dance.
At the start of the trip, you will be picked up from your Nadi/Denarau Resort Hotel and taken to Denarau Marina (Port Denarau). Here you will board your high-speed catamaran for the 30-minute journey to South Sea Island.
Once on the Island there is plenty to do. You can enjoy snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, or just lazing on the beach. (A massage is also available at extra cost.) South Sea is one of the few islands where there is still good access to the sea at low tide and the Resort also has a swimming pool.
Another great feature of your day at South Sea Island will be a ride in a semi-submersible vessel to explore the coral reefs and see the magnificent tropical fish life in the surrounding Marine Sanctuary.
A tasty barbecue and salad lunch is included and complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks are provided whilst you are on the island. During lunch time (except on Sundays) you will have the chance to watch a traditional Fijian ‘meke’ – a song and dance performance.
At the end of the trip, you will be dropped at the Denarau Marina and then taken back to your hotel in Nadi or Denarau. Transfers are also available from Denarau back to Coral Coast. These depart at 1800h (6:00pm) and must be booked in advance.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour for reconfirming departure details.
Fuel Surcharge (in FJ$) will be collected upon check in for all departures from Denarau.
There is no charge for kids under 5 but meals are not provided for them and must be purchased separately.
The confirmation voucher includes the local activity operator’s contact details and local telephone numbers at the destination. They will happily answer any logistical questions you may have.
Coral Coast transfer departs at 1800h (6:00pm) from Port Denarau. Advance booking is a must
