Overview

The best way to explore Omani sights is cruising around on a 4x4 with an expert driver-guide who leads you through Fanjah, Izki and Nizwa. Make your first stop at Nizwa for a walk through the ancient Capital of Oman. Then continue to drive to Ghul the old village with abandoned Persian ruins.

Soon you will arrive at one of the most famous landmarks in Oman – the Grand Canyon of Muscat which offers breathtaking views. When you arrive at the end of the Wadi you will see a village famous for its famous bright colors rugs and designs.

Continue onward to reach Jebel Shams, the highest peak in Oman at 3000 meters! You now have a premium view for the Grand Canyon and also spectacular views of Wadi Nakhr. Take a little break for a picnic lunch near the rim before continuing to Al Abrein, a picturesque village strapped on to the side of a mountain. Enjoy taking pictures on this last leg of the tour before heading back to Muscat.
