    Overview

Explore one of the most picturesque regions in all of Europe during a Gone to the Luberon & Avignon Tour!

With Gone to the Luberon & Avignon Tour tickets, your friendly and informative local guide will lead your small group around one of the oldest cities on the continent!  Occupied since the Neolithic Period, Avignon’s past reaches all the way to pre-history and leads up to the city we see today.  And, as part of this day trip from Marseille, you’ll have the opportunity to see the Palace of the Popes, Saint Bénezet Bridge, Notre Dame des Doms, and many other important Avignon attractions.  Then, you’ll get to visit some of the sleepy, hilltop villages of the Luberon mountain ranges!

Enjoy a cool, comfortable ride from Marseille to Avignon in our air-conditioned vehicles.  Then, follow your knowledgable local guide as you stop by Dom’s Gardens, Saint Pierre Church, and Horloge Square.  Then, see the seat of the Avignon Papacy that lasted through most of the 14th century.  Follow that up with some Avignon sightseeing at the Saint Bénezet Bridge and Notre Dame des Doms before heading out to the hilltop villages of the Luberon!

First, stop by the village of Isle sur la Sorgue, which is famous for its romantic water wheels and antique stores!  Then, visit Gorges, one of the most beautiful villages in all of France!  Check out the main castle, caves, Abbey of Senanque, and more!  Finally, before heading back to Marseille, explore Roussillon, a village perched atop the Provencal Colorado, a famous ochre rock formation.  Walk the Ochre Path or discover the local village life!  If you are looking to escape the 2nd largest city in France for a day, then the Gone to the Luberon & Avignon Tour is one of the best things to do in Marseille!
