The tour ends at the starting point
Traverse the trough of the valleys up to summit of the mountains, and discover smiling faces, quaint villages and an ancestral lifestyle which people thought had disappeared long ago. Your 4WD lets you get where the large tour buses can't go.
Nature rules supreme in these regions and dictates the existence of these tribal men and women. Depending on the season, you will discover lush slopes full of sheep or snow-covered summits.
Take in the peaceful scenery all around as you enjoy lunch in the Kasbah of Ourika located in the famous Ourika valley.
08:30am: You will be picked up from your centrally located hotel in Marrakech for this in a 4WD with your guide for this day excursion from Marrakech which also includes lunch.
The breakdown of your itinerary is as follows:
Leave the noise and bustle of the city behind as you begin crossing the Atlas Mountains, following the ancient Berber trails.
Traverse winding dirt tracks, passing earthen Berber houses, climbing upwards towards the Ourika valley There will be a photo stop here as well as at Oukaimeden, Morocco’s main ski resort. Savor the stunning mountain vistas all around.
10:00am: There will be a stop for some delicious mint tea.
11:00am: Arrive at a typical Berber village, high in the Atlas Mountains. Explore the village, interact with these friendly tribesmen and women, the ancient inhabitants of Morocco.
12:30pm: The tour will stop for lunch in the Berber mountain village of Imlil at the Atlas Tichka restaurant. Dine on Moroccan salad, Couscous with cow meat and seven sorts of vegetables. Round off the meal with a platter of fresh fruits of the season and tea. No alcohol is served in the restaurant.
2:45pm: Depart for Marrakech, stopping at Via Asni and Tahannout, for some more photographs.
4:30pm: Your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel or the closest drop-off point in Marrakech.
It is advisable to re-confirm the tour departure details 48 hours prior to the start of the tour as this tour has a minimum passenger requirement of 4 people, if this is not met the tour would either be rescheduled for another date or cancelled with a full refund
For hotels outside the town & riads: time & place to be confirmed at the time of the reconfirmation
Identity papers are obligatory (passport or identity card).

No alcohol is served in the Atlas Tichka restaurant in Imlil
