  • Hail to the bus: Be sure to hail the bus if you are going to catch one! Otherwise, they won’t stop. And it’s a good idea to have some coins with you. 
  • Remember to change the money: While visitors on a Macau day trip can spend Hong Kong Dollars in Macau, it should be noted that you can’t spend Macanese Patacas in Hong Kong.

Best time to visit

For the best views, it’s worth visiting Macau Tower in the autumn season between October and December. You’ll find most days are low on rain, and typhoon season will have finished. Well, you want the best views after all.

Getting there
  • Taxi is the best way to get around the city and to Macau Tower.
  • There is also a local bus service if you’re feeling confident enough to try.
  • You can take any of the following to the tower. 9A, 18, 23, 32, MT4 (Taipa Route) and 26 (Coloane Route).
  • It’s bus 32 if you’re arriving by the Ferry terminal.
