Highlights
Learn about the Inca and pre-Inca people who worshipped at Pachacamac
Explore Pachacamac, a thousand-year-old religious site.
Get stunning ocean views from the Temple of the Sun.
Stroll through the beautiful historic center of Lima, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Visit one of the oldest vice-regal destinations

After being picked up from your hotel and transferred by the Pan-American Highway en route to the South toward Pachacamac, you will explore Lima’s bohemian district of Barranco, where art galleries abound in the tree-lined walkways and pubs are scattered around Central Park. Walk across the Bridge of Sighs; a lovely wooden structure spanning the Bajada de Baños, a stone walkway that runs down to the Pacific through Barranco. This laidback neighborhood was ‘the place to be’ in the 19th century. Be sure to capture your picture-perfect moment on the bridge with stunning views in the background.

Next, we will drive down the South Pacific Coast Highway to Pachacamac, the most important ceremonial center in the Peruvian coast during pre-Inca and Inca time. Built by different civilizations throughout the centuries and between the years 200 and 1450 AD, this religious compound is made entirely out of clay and houses the giant pyramids of the sun and moon.

This comprehensive sightseeing tour will give you an insight into the culture, history and architecture of both the Inca and pre-Inca peoples. At the end of the tour you will return to your hotel.
