Gaunt and majestic, the Massada (Hebrew for fortress) fortress of King Herod is situated on top of an isolated rock cliff at the western end of the Judean Desert. It towers 430 m. above the Dead Sea.

Float in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. Enjoy the famous Dead Sea mud packs and revel in its therapeutic mineral waters.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Jerusalem in an air-conditioned coach and taken for an Excursion to Massada and Dead Sea. A bilingual guide (English and Spanish/French/German) will accompany you on this tour.

Ascend by cable car to tour the 2000-year-old gaunt and majestic Massada fortress and palace of King Herod. Enjoy the view as you travel upwards to this Zealot stronghold as it towers 430m above the Dead Sea. Spend about two hours here.

Drive to lunch (payable direct) and then float in the mineral-rich Dead Sea - at 400m. below sea level, the lowest place on earth. Take a mud-bath! And benefit from the therapeutic qualities of the natural Dead Sea mud. You have 2.15 hours in which to extract the maximum enjoyment out of this unique experience.
