Your hotel in Hua Hin or Cha Am area
Hua-Hin's claim to fame rests on its three famous attractions: the railway station, the Fishing Pier and its bustling and colourful Night Market. In fact, it was the construction of the railways station that transformed the once tiny fishing village into an elegant resort. Traces of Hua Hin’s fishing past linger near the Fishing Pier, where one can still see fishermen auctioning their day’s catch.
No visit to Hua Hin can be complete without sampling the delicious local seafood, served fresh in tiny restaurants near the pier. The liveliest part of Hua Hin is its Night Market. Tired of shopping? Then you can witness a Thai cabaret show, Thai classical and folk dance and music, or the Thai classical fantasy show. It’s difficult to get bored in this exotic town!
See the oldest beach resort in Thailand and marvel at its historic landmarks and colourful night market.
This tour gives you the truly local flavour of Hua Hin at night! Set out from your hotel in Hua Hin on board the ‘Samlor’, or the pedal trishaw and ride to downtown Hua Hin to get an introduction to this elegant resort town which was once a fishing village.
Enjoy an uninterrupted view of the myriad attractions the city has to offer. The highlights of your tour are:
• The Railway Station: Built in the reign of King Rama VI, the station is one of Thailand's oldest railway stations, and also one of the country's most beautiful, with its unique architecture. Its most striking feature is the splendid Royal Waiting Room constructed in the Thai architectural style. The room was relocated from Sanam Chan Palace in Nakhon Pathom province during the reign of King Rama VI.
• Continue to the old Fishing Pier to watch the incoming boats unload their catch for auction. Keep your cameras at hand- this is one of the most photographed areas in town.
• After dinner, explore the colourful and bustling Hua Hin Night Market. Offering ample shopping opportunities, this is the most colourful spot in Hua Hin during the night. The market offers a wide array of food, drinks, desserts, memorable souvenirs and all kinds of freshly-prepared dishes. Must-taste items include Pad Thai, Hoi Thod, fresh seafood, Indian bread and coconut ice cream.
At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in the Hua Hin or Cha Am area at around 2100h (9:00pm).
