Overview

Often referred to as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta is a breathtaking ecosystem of a vast maze of rivers dotted with bustling little agricultural towns. This guided luxury speedboat tour of the Mekong Delta will treat you the region’s indigenous highlights and a brilliant picture of the local lifestyle.

Our journey begins with a convenient hotel transfer to Tan Cang pier from where we will board our luxury speedboat to the mangrove forest. Dig into a light yet delectable breakfast of cakes from Pat' a Chou along with LaVie water and seasonal fruits, all while savoring a slice of local life as you watch people go about their lives. Escaping the bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, we will arrive at Ben Tre to make way into the vibrant local markets in the Long An province - a perfect opportunity to experience the local life. 

The tour offers a comprehensive picture of life in the Mekong Delta - you get to sample typical fruits from the region, row a small boat amidst a spectacularly peaceful canal, don a conical hat like a local, taste special wines made from snakes or scorpions, savor a cup of honey tea with a local family, learning about the fascinating relationship between the local plantation workers and the ‘friendly’ bees, listen to Southern traditional folk music Don Ca Tai Tu which was handed down for over 100 years  and is listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of the world, embark on a Lambro tuk-tuk (vehicle using for schools and works) winding village roads to traverse residential areas, and visit a small family business of coconut candy makers.

Finally, we’ll sail to the Diem Phuong restaurant where you can relish a traditional Vietnamese lunch of delicious 7-courses including an Elephant-Ear fish (a regional specialty), rice-paper served with fish sauce and an array of flavorful courses. With a foodgasm in tow, we’ll drop you back to your accommodations in Saigon.
