Learn how these famous distilleries use no more than 3 of the purest ingredients – barley, water and yeast to produce world famous whiskeys. Partake in tasting session and gain informative insight into the distilleries from your expert guide.
Meet your guide at Rabbie's Café Bar, Waterloo Place and jump aboard the comfortable Mercedes mini coach to kick start your tour.
Glengoyne Distillery
Your tour takes you west past the scenic route of Stirling to the famous Glengoyne distillery. Learn firsthand about the simple yet magical process of how the Scots effectively turn 3 simple ingredients of barley, water, and yeast into delicious whisky! Partake in a tasting session and thereafter enjoy a scenic drive to the shores of Loch Lomond for a tasty pub lunch and the chance to sample some local beers!
Deanston Distillery
Enjoy a short walk to the viewpoint overlooking the loch before heading towards the second distillery of the day - Deanston Distillery. The Deanston distillery once stood as a cotton mill on the banks of the River Teith and has since gone on to produce some unique whisky flavours. Enjoy a tasting session here before heading back to Edinburgh where your whisky tour comes to a close.
