Overview

See the beautiful three inhabited islands of the picturesque Elaphite Islands - Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan, and soak up the sunshine and the gentle breeze as you take a stroll on the scenic islands.

The Elaphite Islands is made up of eight islands and is covered by lush Mediterranean vegetation of citrus plantations, pine and olive groves and palm trees. Observe the life of the local folks as you see the men fishing or playing cards and women busy with their regular household chores.

Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan are also full of lovely hamlets, gardens, renaissance churches and Romanesque ruins. You will be accompanied by a guide who will take you around the major highlights of the islands and narrate fascinating stories and legends surrounding these islands.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from your hotel in Dubrovnik and taken to the harbour from where you will take a boat to the Elaphite Islands, also known as Elafiti Islands. A guide will accompany you at all times, taking you around the major highlights and sharing interesting facts, stories and legends.

During the course of the tour, you will visit three of the inhabited islands, which are as follows:

Kolocep: See beautiful gardens full of oranges and lemon trees and 100 year old pine groves, coral trees and olive groves in this serene island. Kolocep Island was an important shipbuilding site in the Republic of Ragusa, a maritime republic that existed from 1358 to 1808. You will also find several remnants of old Romanesque churches, basilica ruins and palaces scattered around the island.

Lopud: Lopud Island is famous for its sandy beaches, especially in the Bay of Šunj. It is the most touristy out of the three islands with charming parks and beaches. The two major highlights of the island are the Franciscan Monastery and Gospe od Sunja church.

Šipan: Šipan is the largest of the Elaphite Islands and has gardens full of olive and fig trees, vineyards and citrus groves. Wander around charming hamlets, admire the lovely gardens and see some beautiful renaissance churches, chapels and Romanesque ruins.

At the end of the tour, you will be dropped back to your hotel.
