Overview

This tour is the historical overview concentrated on the traces of the Jewish community in the Old Town of Dubrovnik, from the 14th c till today. The first written document of Jewish existence in Dubrovnik is from the 14th c, and over the Jewish fountain on the Pile plateau, stone fragments in the northern part of the city, the Jewish street where the ghetto was formed in the 16th c and documentation about the persecution of Jews in the World War II it’s possible to evoke the life of Jews in Dubrovnik through six centuries. It includes the visit to the second oldest synagogue in Europe (still in service) and the Jewish Museum opened in the same building.
