Famous for a vibrant nightlife and beaches, you’ll see a different side to Cartagena – mainly known for its colonial history. Head to the La Manga, connected to Cartagena via bridges, and admire the republican architecture in the area, home to the city’s rich and famous

Overlooking La Manga you’ll see the imposing La Popa Convent, perched on the highest hill of Cartagena, at a height of 150m. Upon reaching the top, you’ll be treated to unbeatable panoramic views stretching over the city and have the opportunity to enter inside the convent before moving on to Castillo San Felipe de Barajas, one of Spains greatest fortresses. Listed as a World Heritage site. Also located atop a hill is one of Spain´s greatest fortresses. Built by the Spanish during the colonial era, its strategic and impenetrable walls were never defeated, and to this day, commands the city skyline.

The tour continues in the historic city centre. Stroll through its picturesque streets and squares, as you head to Las Bovedas.
