Join us on an unforgettable trail as we head to explore the craft beer scene in Canberra. Discovering the best local beer spots across the Aussie capital, the journey takes you behind the scenes of 3 incredible breweries to help you learn more about the brewer, their manufacturing process, and the flavour profiles that make their beers so exceptional.
Wondering where we will be heading? Here’s a sneak peak!
BentSpoke Brewing Co.
One of Canberra’s newest breweries, BentSpoke was set up in 2014 by award-winning brewer Richard Watkins and his partner Tracy Margrain. The Braddon premises are dominated by a stainless steel décor along with a distinctive bicycle them reflecting the owners’ other passion. 18 different beers, rotating seasonals, beer-infused dishes - their something for everyone here, making them quickly stack up on their legendary status.
Capital Brewing Co.
Celebrating the four seasons with brews that pay homage to the weather and great Outdoor, they are all about the nation’s capital region and the lifestyle it provides. They have an unmistakable spirit for adventure and being 100% employee owned, they are known for taking care of each other, their customers, communities, and last but not the least, the environment.
Zierholz Premium Brewery
Known for being Canberra’s fresh beer company, their head brewer - Christoph Zierholz - has been crafting German-inspired beers with a special Canberra twist since 2005. Zierholz is known for infusing little bit of European class to the industrial suburb with a range of German crafts bound to blow your mind. It’s not just a great place to drink but also an equally exceptional place to brush up your knowledge of German varieties, be it a Dunkel, Doppelbock, or Schankbier!
About the Supplier: One of our favourite associates (we mean, come on, who doesn’t like beer?) in offering unique experiences is Dave’s Travel Group who offer exclusively-crafted brewery tours and other culinary trails. With a simple philosophy which is “all about showing you local as we love it all; food, drinks, history, and culture”, they are known for bringing people together to taste and experience the craftsmanship of local Aussie producers - whether it’s on a behind the scenes brewery tour or a walk back in time through our pub culture on a pub walk or even a coffee and dessert trail.
