Overview

The gorgeous Aussie Capital should be renamed ‘Canbeera’, considering the insane amount of craft beers it produces presently! Join us on an immersive behind-the-scenes guided tour as we head to our explore Canberra’s fantastic breweries, complete with samples of their craft beers. Filled with brewers offering classic beers as well as some with fun twists and flavours, it’s a perfect way to relish a taste of one-of-a-kind Australian beers and enjoy a great lunch too!

Wondering where we will be headed to chug some mugs? Here’s a little sneak peak!

BentSpoke Brewing Co.

One of Canberra’s newest breweries, BentSpoke was set up in 2014 by award-winning brewer Richard Watkins and his partner Tracy Margrain. The Braddon premises are dominated by a stainless steel décor along with a distinctive bicycle them reflecting the owners’ other passion. 18 different beers, rotating seasonals, beer-infused dishes - their something for everyone here, making them quickly stack up on their legendary status.

Capital Brewing Co.

Celebrating the four seasons with brews that pay homage to the weather and great Outdoor, they are all about the nation’s capital region and the lifestyle it provides. They have an unmistakable spirit for adventure and being 100% employee owned, they are known for taking care of each other, their customers, communities, and last but not the least, the environment.

Zierholz Premium Brewery

Known for being Canberra’s fresh beer company, their head brewer - Christoph Zierholz - has been crafting German-inspired beers with a special Canberra twist since 2005. Zierholz is known for infusing little bit of European class to the industrial suburb with a range of German crafts bound to blow your mind. It’s not just a great place to drink but also an equally exceptional place to brush up your knowledge of German varieties, be it a Dunkel, Doppelbock, or Schankbier!

Old Canberra Inn

A living piece of pioneer history built in 1857, the Old Canberra Inn (OCI to Canberra locals) is a lovely family-friendly pub with live music, fresh locally-sourced food and regularly rotating craft beer taps. It’s a perfect lunch stop to sit back and enjoy some top-notch grub along with some local pub hospitality in a truly unique setting.

The Durham Castle Arms

An iconic location on the Canberra pub scene, The Durham specialises in sourcing some of the best Aussie crafts and pairing them with hearty, traditional pub grub. They are known for regular tap takeovers and “craft beer fight clubs”, making it an exceptionally entertaining place to sit back and relish a brew.

About the Supplier: One of our favourite associates (we mean, come on, who doesn’t like beer?) in offering unique experiences is Dave’s Travel Group who offer exclusively-crafted brewery tours and other culinary trails. With a simple philosophy which is “all about showing you local as we love it all; food, drinks, history, and culture”, they are known for bringing people together to taste and experience the craftsmanship of local Aussie producers - whether  it’s on a behind the scenes brewery tour or a walk back in time through our pub culture on a pub walk or even a coffee and dessert trail.
