Overview
Ascend to the Monserrate Sanctuary, a symbol of Bogotá, built in the 17th century on the eastern part of Mount Monserrate at an altitude of more than 3,000 meters. To help build this historic sanctuary, each pilgrim that visited the site carried a brick to the top of Mount Monserrate! Whilst here, don't forget to take a moment to admire breathtaking views over the city.
Leave the monastery behind as you head to Plaza Bolivar, Bogota's main square which is home to some of the most emblematic buildings in the city such as the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Capitol, Liévano Palace, July 20 House and the Palace of Justice.
Enjoy an exclusive visit to the Museo del Oro (Gold Museum), home to the world's largest pre-Hispanic gold collection and stroll through the streets of the historic centre of La Candelaria and contemplate the spectacular architecture with its pre-Columbian colonial charm.
